What is your ideal blood pressure
Blood pressure is a necessity in order to get blood pumping around our bodies. Without blood pressure the heart would not be able to push the blood to our lungs, kidneys and other body organs. However there is an ideal blood pressure for the heart to function, that is one which is not too low or too high. Low blood pressure is an unwanted syndrome as it leads to dizziness and permanent organ damage if not treated. High blood pressure on the other hand is just as bad as it leads to increased risk of heart disease, stroke, kidney damage amongst other disorders.
An ideal blood pressure is 120/80 in men and women of all ages, but it is important to note that blood pressure does fluctuate on a daily basis, and what may be normal blood pressure for one person may not be for another. Additionally it also increases with age and in some disease states. A blood pressure of 140/90 is deemed high (hypertension)and should be avoided at all costs. If you feel you dont have a healthy blood pressure see your doctor for treatment as soon as possible.
